Modern Combat[]
The BMD-4 is similar to the BMD-3, but is meant to provide the fire power of a real tank. Its armament is a 100mm main gun with a 30mm 2A72 autocannon and 7.62x54mmR PKT in the coaxial mount for the gunner, an AGS-17 in a bow mount for the driver, a roof-mounted 12.7mm Kord HMG for the commander (who can also designate targets), and a 5.45x39mm RPK-74 in a bow mount for a passenger, along with having two AKS-74s in the firing ports for passengers. It can carry 5 passengers, not including the driver, gunner, or commander. It appears on several maps being operated by the VDV.
Global Conquest[]
Ingame the BMD-4 IFV appears being available to the VDV subfaction of the Russian Military. It appears armed with a 100mm main gun, a 30mm autocannon, and a coaxial 7.62mm machine gun. It also gains a bow mounted grenade launcher and machinegun when garrisoned with infantry, along with firing ports on the side of the vehicle. It is light enough to be transported by helicopters. It can be upgraded with add-on armor, better targeting systems, the ability to fire different types of shells, and an upgraded autoloader, along with other upgrades. The BMD-4 is powerful verses ground units, but is weak against aircraft. It is built at the War Factory.
